In my few earlier posts you may have noticed regarding a lot of tutorials that relate to using RSS in Internet Explorer. In this tutorial I will tell you how you can access password protected RSS feeds in IE 8. Lets start with the tutorial:
1. Open Internet Explorer – press ALT + C – On the feeds Tab – right click the password protected feed – Select Properties
2. In the feeds property window – click Settings
3. In the user name and password prompt box – type in the required information and click OK
Even after setting the username and password i am getting the following error,
“Internet Explorer unable to update password protected feed. Authentication Forbidden”.
What setting might be missing from the server side or IE side
